We’re hiring! Living Tongues Institute for Endangered Languages is looking for a dedicated and energetic Director of Development.

The person will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the institute’s fundraising activities. The Director’s areas of responsibility will include engagement with individual donors, management of major gifts and recurring donations, as well as regular interactions with major philanthropic organizations. The person in this role will also be responsible for implementing and managing operational systems and processes related to fundraising, in support of the organization’s mission.

• They have experience in fundraising for non-profits
• They believe strongly in Living Tongues’ mission of scientifically documenting languages, supporting communities of speakers, and creating visibility for the problem of language endangerment
• They have studied non-profit management and/or have a degree in a field related to Living Tongues’ mission (linguistics, anthropology, social impact studies, etc.)
