About

About Jaunsari language is spoken in the Jaunsar-Bawar region of Uttrakhand. Earlier it was scripts: Tankri, Pandwani, Pabuchhi, Bhatwani, etc. Status Despite being an independent Language, Jaunsari hasn't been recognised as an independent language till date by the government. Despite it's rich grammar and vocabulary, it is considered as a dialect of Hindi. Currently it is an endangered languages and is predicted to go extinct within a few decades. The younger generation has shifted to hindi and english and is not keen to learn or use Jaunsari language. Dialects Jaunsari has mainly three dialects: (Arranged South to North) -Standard Jaunsari -Devghari -Bawri

Copula past present future sing. masc. था औसौं/औ होन्दा/ हौला pul. masc. थै औसौं/औं होन्दै/ हौलै sing. fem. थी औसौं/औं होन्दी/ हौली pul. fem. थी औसौं/औ होन्दी/ हौली Tense Past Hindi Jaunsari Simple past मैं खेत में धान लगता था। हाऊँ षाठी लोउं था क्यारी पुण्डो। Past Perfect खेत में धान लगाने से पहले वर्षा हो-चुकी/हुई थी। षाठी लाणौ सै आगे (पाणी) बॉर्शे रो थो क्यारींदो। Past continuous मैं खेत में धान लग रहा था। मैं षाठी ल्योथो लाये क्यारींदो Past perfect continuous मैं सुबह से दौड़ रहा था। हाऊँ जीशा द्योन्डी दोड़ूं था Present Hindi Tehriyali Simple present वो खेत में धान लगाता है। मैं खेत में धान लगाता हूँ। Present Perfect उसने खेत में धान लगाया हुआ है। मैं खेत में धान लगा चुका हूँ। Present continuous वो खेत में धान लगा रही है। मैं खेत में धान लगा रहा हूँ। Present perfect continuous वे लोग दो साल से खेत में धान लगा रहे हैं। मैं दो साल से खेत में धान लगा रहा हूँ। Future Hindi Tehriyali Simple future मैं खेत में धान लगाऊंगा। Future Perfect मैं खेत में धान लगा चुकी हूँगी। Future continuous अगले साल हम धान लगा रहे होंगें। Future perfect continuous क्या अगले साल से तुम लोग धान लगाना शुरु कर दोगे?
