The Yanesha' Living Dictionary was first produced by Yanesha' expert Espíritu Bautista Pascual and his son Elmo Celso Bautista Mariño in 2013 at an "Enduring Voices" workshop in Santiago Chile, in collaboration with Anna Luisa Daigneault and Gregory D. S. Anderson from Living Tongues Institute for Endangered Languages.
It was expanded in 2021-2023 by Anna Luisa Daigneault in collaboration with Elmo Celso Bautista Mariño and others. Living Tongues intern Valeria Macias helped with tagging and data editing.
Colleagues such as Allegra Robertson from UC Berkeley Linguistics and Yanesha' community members such as Rubén Potesta Pérez also recorded new entries for this Living Dictionary in 2022.
Linguists Lev Michael (UC Berkeley) and Mariana Poblete (Leiden) will add entries to the Living Dictionary in collaboration with Yanesha' community members and technical assistance from Anna Luisa Daigneault in 2025-2026.
