Taivoan, also known as Taivuan, is a Formosan language that was previously spoken by the indigenous Taivoan people of Taiwan. The language was used throughout the valleys and mountainous areas of Tainan and Kaohsiung, as well as the eastern valleys of Taiwan until the end of the 19th century. In January 2019, the Taivoan language was assigned a language code tvx by SIL International. The data in this Living Dictionary comes from this publication:
