Subi (or Kisubi) is spoken by the Abhasubi people in Biharamulo District, Northwest Tanzania. The language is not yet endangered, but it faces significant challenges due to the encroachment of Kiswahili in everyday life, as well as the displacement of younger individuals out of Biharamulo.
The authors of this dictionary are Cyprian Vumilia and John Gluckman. All the data was collected by the authors, the first of which is a native speaker and linguist.
