This dictionary is specifically for the Highlander form of the Monster Hunter language, spoken by those in Kamura, Yukumo, the greater south eastern main continental area, and even by the villagers of Pokke.  

Monster Hunter has been around since 2004, but we had not got our hands on a fleshed out semi-conlang until Monster Hunter Stories 1, and to an even greater extent, Monster Hunter World. Despite these games as well as others having conlangs within them- in cutscenes or music, it was not until Monster Hunter Rise/Sunbreak that the commitment to fully deciphering the language was put into full steam ahead mode. 

The vicabulary you see here is directly from the game, transcribed, cross-referenced, translated, recorded, and collected. I, MoofahMelody, have spent the past 5 years working on deciphering and collecting these words so that those seeing this now can carry those words into their hunts with them. 

I hope to see hunters use this language and these words for years to come, a way to bridge the language barrier between each of us as well all hunt together.
