General pejorative, term of disapproval, disfavor, or contempt, sometimes with very much weakened meaning; bad, evil, anger, offense, ugly, mean, unclean, spoiled, naughty, nasty, queer, sickly, disgusting. Sometimes having the opposite meaning, as in bad is good. Occurs routinely in a number of kinship terms with a meaning equivalent to 'dear old', as in sichuushiyah 'my dear old (maternal) grandmother'.
