Mọ̀bà is a dialect of Yoruba language (Èdè Yorùbá), spoken in South-West Nigiera. The Mọ̀bà Living Dictionary is in the process of being created by Mọ̀bà speaker and scholar Moses Oyeleye in Nigeria, with technical support from Anna Luisa Daigneault at Living Tongues Institute for Endangered Languages in the US.
According Olúmúyìwá (2013), Mọ̀bà is spoken in all the towns and villages of the Mọ̀bà Local Government Area and some towns in Ilejemeje Local Government area of Èkìtì State. These towns include Ọ̀tùn, Igógo, Ìkùn, Osùn-ún, Ẹ̀pẹ̀, Ọsàn, and Ìsáòyè. Mọbà is also spoken in two local government in Kwara State; some of the towns are: È̩tán, Òbó-ilé, Òbó-ayégúnlè̩, Osí, Ìlọfà, Ayédùn, Ẹ̀kàn and Ìlálẹ̀. In each of these towns, a variant of Mọ̀bà is spoken. Mọ̀bà belongs to the Central Yorùba (CY) dialect group. Other dialects in this group are Èkìtì, Ìjẹ̀ṣà and Ifẹ̀.
