Has to do with "going over the top", from chepur (chechepuur) "puts several over the top or edge"
Barona uses tuusaap for "it overflows", which in other dialects usually means, "it leaks, it drips, it leaks through many holes". The Barona expression for "there is a flood" is haa waap.
