Tiipay has equivalent uuway, with additional meanings, "loves someone, cares about someone, takes care of someone"
Note that Cuevas' pronunciation of "e" may often sound like "i" (English "ee" in "see"), whereas to most other speakers it would be a more neutral shwa sound, close to Kumeyaay "a" or English "uh".
