The Afroasiatic Cousin: Standard Arabic uses Law (لَوْ) specifically for impossible or counterfactual conditions.

The Coptic Engine: In Coptic grammar, conditional clauses are introduced by the highly prominent particle Ⲗⲁⲩ (Lau) or Ⲉϣⲱⲡ (Eshōp).

The Masri Twist: This is a perfect cousin convergence. Because the Coptic conditional Ⲗⲁⲩ sounded identical to the Arabic Law, the words fused effortlessly on Egyptian soil. However, Masri completely threw away the strict Arabic rules (which require specific past-tense verb conjugations after Law) and treats it with the fluid, un-inflected structural freedom of the Coptic Ⲗⲁⲩ engine.
