Medicinal values for:fever, cold and cough, respiratory diseases
Leaf: A decoction of the leaves (sakam) or even the fresh leaves (baleʧ sakam) are chewed (togoʧ) for relief from cold (sardi rua), fever (rua) and cough (kʰuʔ).
The fresh leaves (baleʧ sakam) strengthen the stomach and help in respiratory diseases.
Root: The crushed (kʰeʧaʔ) root (rehet) is boiled (hõɽeʧ) with turmeric powder (sasaŋ lubuʔ) and consumed to prevent contraction of respiratory diseases.
