Means "spring" (water source), from 'ehaa "water" and chekup "comes out" (verb not attested in isolation).
In Mesa Grande dictionary, 'ehaa chekup is only a place name, and the term for "spring" is 'ehaa kuchuullup (lit. "bubbling water", from chuullup "bubbles, boils").
Barona dictionary gives 'ehaa chuukup as a general term for "spring", literally meaning, "water comes out". Again, the presumed verb chuukup is not seen apart from this term.
