Notes

The most general word for "to cut" something.

Mesa Grande dictionary specifies that this verb applies when the cutting is done "with a long instrument" (e.g. knife, saw), or when one "cuts hard things" (wood, a hard fruit, etc.). It generally refers to cutting something all the way through, and would not apply to getting a small "cut" on one's hand, for example.

Other speakers describe this cutting as done "with a sharp instrument" and provide additional meanings, "saws, amputates, cuts something off".
