Intransitive. Can describe an object physically bending, or may be used to mean something "bends", as in it is flexible and bends under pressure.
Can describe something that is already bent or crooked. Barona dictionary defines as, "crooked, like a finger that can't be straightened out".
Used on roads, describes a slight turn or curve (Mesa Grande dictionary). Compare to telekuk, "it winds" (as in a road).
