Said of the bite of a snake or mosquito, or similar creature. A dog bite would probably be described with chuukuw (chechuukaawp) "bites (with the mouth)".

Some dialects use uushaa (ucheshaach), "stabs, pierces" for this type of bite. Uu- and we- are often interchangeable on verbs.
