Literally "water runs", from 'ehaa "water" and wenuw (wenaaw) "runs". Probably used as a noun phrase meaning "running water", much like 'ehaa kwenuw "river, stream, flowing water".
Exact difference, if any, between this and Ames' haanuw is unclear.
