As in other instances, here a Kumeyaay sentence, rather than a noun, describes the phenomenon of "waves" (i.e. in the water or ocean).
From 'ehaa "water" (shortened to haa here, with the -ch subject suffix) and wehuum "has waves, is wavy" (wehum in Barona).
Can also be said as 'ehaach wehuum or 'ehaach wehum.
Similar to 'ehaa hemull "water is foamy", also translating to "waves, surf".
Compare to 'ehaa heraark "ocean swells" (lit. the water has swells).
