sorod
Sense 1
English: Translation
fine-tooth comb for removing head lice; A comb with stiff and fine teeth, used to clean the scalp and hair. It's small, about the width of a fist, making it easy to hold and maneuver while combing different parts of the head and angles of the hair. Typically, the hair being combed is freshly washed or shampooed. The repeated stroking with the "súyod" also aims to remove lice and dandruff from the scalp.

Sense 2
English: Translation
comb-like land tiller used primarily in rice farming; A farm implement traditionally made of wood and bamboo and recently metal, sharp teeth, a wooden frame, and a handle, pulled by a carabao. Used to break up clods and clear weeds and other debris from the field. As the "súyod" is passed over the soil in a repetitive motion, it simultaneously breaks up and flattens the ground, collecting debris. The accumulated debris is then discarded on the ridges. After using the "súyod", the field is ready for planting.
