Medicinal values for: urinary problems, digestion problems, loo (sunstroke)
- Root: The roots (rehet) are considered to possess cooling properties that help to soothe and balance digestive health issues. It is used in dietary supplements.
- A paste prepared from the roots (rehet) is also taken orally for relief from problems in passing urine.
- It also acts as an appetite booster and is served primarily to children.
Combination use: Grind (rid) together the roots (rehet) of sega ɖaʈa, raepan, tʃap ranu. Then, after adding water (daʔ) to the mixture, sieve (ʧʰakao) it with a strainer (ʧʰakni) and then this is kept in a bottle to form a decoction.
- For a person who is suffering from sunstroke (loo), two spoons (barija ʧamaʧ) of the decoction are given on an empty stomach (eken-te laiʧ) two times in a day.
- Caution: pregnant women (rumu era) are not advised to take it.
