Root: A decoction prepared from the roots (rehet) is used as a cure for piles.
The root (rehet) is dried (rohoɽ) and ground up (rid) into powder (lubuʔ) and eaten as soup.
Leaf: The leaves (sakam) are cooked and eaten, and this is considered to cure stomach ailments.
A decoction prepared from leaves (sakam) stabilizes the body temperature during summers (sitoŋ).
The root (rehet) and leaves (sakam) are ground up (rid) together then drunk on an empty stomach (eken-te laiʧ) to cure bloody diarrhoea. Patients can cook it like any other green vegetable and eat it.
