Plant: The entire plant is used for medicinal purposes. The pungent taste that is warming and drying makes it a perfect match for feeling of heaviness and for distended abdomen problems. A paste that is prepared from the plant after washing (ʧapi-kam) properly is also applied externally for headaches (bohoʔ hasu) and joint pains. A decoction that is prepared from the plant is used for treatment for urinary tract infections.
Seed: Seeds (dʒaŋ) are ground (rid) into a paste and used for mouth and skin ulcers.
Culinary use:
Leaf: the leaves (sakam) are usually added to non-vegetarian dishes for taste and aroma.
